Centillium Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTLM), a leading provider of broadband access solutions, today announced that it has appointed Frank Liang as its new sales director in Asia.

"Frank is a highly experienced marketing and sales professional with more than 15 years in the telecom and computing semiconductor industries, making him a perfect fit for Centillium. His strong management capabilities in establishing a highly motivated sales organization will prove invaluable in growing the business in these competitive markets."

Prior to joining Centillium, Liang was senior director at Agere Systems, where he was responsible for new business development in China. Earlier at Agere, Liang held several positions of increasing responsibility, including managing director of China Ltd., sales director of Transport Product/Hawaii SAM and regional marketing director of Japan. Liang received master''s degrees in computer engineering and chemistry from the University of Southern California and California State University, Northridge, respectively.
