义统电子为一家专业的IC设计公司,成立于2001年12月,由义隆电子转投资成立,并于2003年正式进驻新竹科学园区,目前资本额为新台币1亿8千万元。
义统电子成立的宗旨,是希望能创造一个『影音生活,无线延伸』的未来生活环境。于是,义统不断地致力于影音处理技术、无线技术的开发,并以整体解决方案提供者(Total Solution Provider)自许,期望能让消费者可以用最低廉的价格,获得最高级的享受。

为了让消费者真正能享受『无线影音』的生活,义统电子采取跳跃式的产品发展策略,直接发展下一代的影音产品,例如：下一代的显示器－有机发光二极管(OLED)的控制IC;下一代的影音压缩技术-JPEG 2000压缩/解压缩IC。除了自有的27MHz无线技术外,义统更与其它拥有2.4GHz技术的厂商合作,共同开发无线传输技术,进一步实现了无线影音生活梦想。
目前,义统电子已于多项产品领域居于世界领先的地位：领先业界开发2.4GHz无线游戏杆控制IC(Game Pad Controller IC),并获得欧洲PowerStation Magazine客户使用评比满分10分的殊荣。

义统电子现有员工六十几名,其中研发人员占了80%以上。成立至今二年余,已成功开发并量产5颗IC,2004年,亦有多颗IC即将量产。我们用最高的效率,开发出领先业界的产品;并不断地创新,自行开发SIP(硅智财)。在专利上,已申请三十多件专利,并通过十数件专利。义统电子具有强悍的研发能量,未来,义统将站在现有的基础上,更加着重创新与研发。

Established on December 2001, ETOMS is continuously dedicating in the IC design area.  ELAN Microelectronics Corp. (EMC) is the major investor to ETOMS.  ETOMS issued capital is NT$180 million to date. In 2003, ETOMS moved into the Hsin-Chu Science Based Industrial Park.
ETOMS has a vision to create a future life -”Audio/Video (AV) life in a wireless environment”.  Consequently, ETOMS is engaging in display control, audio and imaging processing, and wireless technology related IC design.  ETOMS is also devoted to be an AV total solution provider as well.  ETOMS hopes the end customers can enjoy AV life with the lowest price in the market.
Therefore, ETOMS develops five technology fields: images capture (Smart Sensor), image display (OLED controller), AV compression/decompression (Multi-Media), wireless transmitting (RF), and micro-controller (uC).  Integrating the five tech fields, ETOMS can make “AV life in a wireless environment”come true.
To facilitate a “Wireless AV life”coming true, ETOMS is actively developing the cost effective AV related products.  These AV related products including the low power consumption and high brightness, and fast response time OLED (Organic light-emitting diode) display driver and controller IC誷; the low power, flexible Motion JPEG 2000 compression/decompression codec engine.  In the wireless solution, ETOMS is offering 27MHz and 2.4GHz related products in the market.  ETOMS has already established itself in the market side with the following establishment:
The leader of 2.4GHz wireless game pad controller IC provider, and was award a customer perfect score printed on the PowerStation Magazine in Europe. (See it!) The market leader in providing the gray scale and color OLED driving & controlling IC, and adopted by the major OLED panel manufacturer and mobile phone company. The first commercial oriented Motion JPEG 2000 compression/decompression codec IC with the advantage of power consumption, memory usage, die size, and loyalty and license free. Within the first two 2 years of establishment, ETOMS has successfully introduced 5 IC’s into mass production to date.  During the same period, ETOMS has filed 30+ Taiwan patents and obtained 10+ approvals by IPO of R.O.C.  In the future, ETOMS will sustain its priority in putting more resource on innovation and R&D.
Human resource is the most important real asset for ETOMS.  ETOMS continuously creates a working environment with people oriented management.  ETOMS is adopting the following product strategy to differentiate itself from the over-clouded IC design space and to create the competitive stock value and revenue profit for its shareholder:
