Further demand recovery gave Hsinchu, Taiwan-based Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) yet another month of record high revenue, as the foundry reported net sales for November of $822.3 million (27.5 billion Taiwanese dollars), 5 percent sequentially higher than $782.2 million (26.2 billion NT) in October, and 31.1 percent higher than $626.5 million (21 billion NT) in November 2004.
Revenues for January through November were $7.1 billion (237 .2 billion NT), nearly flat from $7 billion (236.1 NT) for the same time period in 2004.
Lora Ho, TSMC VP and CFO noted in a statement regarding the results that, "Due to continued demand increase from our customers, wafer shipments for November grew over October. As a result, net sales for November increased by 4.9 percent compared to October. On a year-over-year basis, net sales for November increased 31.1 percent."
