An entrepreneurial Canadian Corporation that dominates Powerline industry (www.corinex.com ) is seeking for a full time position senior hardware designer for their offices in Shenzhen. You will be part of fast growing and demanding technology company working in one of Canada Fastest Technology Growing Companies, ranked number 21 in 2007 and 6 in 2008 on Deloitte Touch Technology  Fast 50 among Canadian companies and number 70 in USA and Canada.
 
You will be expected to use your talents to provide cost effective designs passing certification process. This role you will execute in collaboration with Production,  R&D and certification staff in Vancouver and China to ensure any technical issues are resolved and addressed in timely manner. 

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years experience working with and preferably managing inside R&D team as well communicates with outside contractors while ensuring timely completion of design. The experience in cost effective design and cost optimization is required. Also, the candidate will follow all regulatory and compliance obligations. 

The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer experienced in design of mass manufactured HomePlug, HCNA 3.0 or UPA (DS2)  adapters in communication/technology sector with a track record of successful  project experiences in a process oriented manufacturing environment.  

Required Knowledge: Design, testing and production of analogue and digital circuits on frequencies  4-50 MHz as well as 2.4 – 5.7 GHz. Design of corresponding PCBs, preparation of BOM and Gerber files, communication with manufacturers, specifying parts. Knowledge of Protel, Cadence Allegro and electrical measurement equipment. Knowledge of certification processes for CE, FCC and UL preferable, communication protocols in computer networks (Ethernet, USB, TCP/IP) a must. Industry experience in design of HomePlug, HCNA or UPA (DS2) technology required.
